Energy Management
After the renewal and modernization of the equipment technology - blast furnaces and coking plant - we are today able to use the assigned sources of energy optimally.
Thus the specific net energy consumption (GJ/t dispatch) has been decreased in the last 15 years by 20%. At the same time the energy content of process gases, which were supplied to RWE Energy, rose continuously.
The energy system between RWE Energie and HKM
Saves resources of primary energy through logical use of all energy supplies
reduces environmental pressures through the avoidance of flare losses
secures the industry location through optimal use of modern large technology by co-operation with power generators and the raw materials industry
