Technical advances
Environmental protection has not just had a high value at Duisburg Huckingen since 1990, the year of our establishment as a steel works. Already in the past pioneer achievements have been made and technical progress carried out, including dust emissions and noise reduction, water quality improvements and a reduction in energy consumption.
The basis for life
We continue with these developments, aware that the protection of the environment and the retention of the natural basis for life represents most important conditions for business success, oriented on a long-term basis and also we have a responsibility to our coworkers, their family members, people in our neighbourhood and our customers.

Company goals
We want to align our actions with the example of a lasting and future-compatible development and to accomplish it in consideration of economic, ecological and social goals. For this reason we have integrated environmental protection into our company targets.
With the creation of an Environemtal Management System we want to create structures, which secure a continuous improvement of operational environmental protection on a long-term basis. We orient ourselves around the stipulations of DIN EN ISO 14001 and the EEC eco audit regulations.
