Secondary metallurgy

Treatment plants

For the production of steel with particularly high purity, low nitrogen, hydrogen and sulphur content as well as for the setting of strict alloy stipulations the secondary metallurgy of our steel plant is equipped with special treatment plants. The first treatment plant was installed in 1977.

Since 1990 we have 2 modern ladle degassing plants, which form an optimal secondary metallurgical process line in cooperation with 3 argon rinsing positions.

Working models

Experience of many years and extensive knowledge of engineering in the secondary metallurgy make precise and reproducible functions possible, which are supported by different computer-aided processing concepts like the recording of temperature and the vacuum treatment model.

Vacuum plant Operations scheduling plan

The high requirements of logistics;- pig iron and scrap iron supply as well as melting and ladle planning are controlled by integrated computer-aided opereation models.
